Go Wii Go:
The Nintendo leaves the competition in its wake of innovation as the queues for the Playstation 3 shortens the queues for the Nintendo Wii gets ever longer at E3 as everyone goes to check out the new controller.
Some people might think of it as a mistake for the Nintendo Wii to focus on game-play rather than power but I don’t care, personally I love still love Goldeneye on the N64 regardless of the graphics and I doubt I could find a single person who would say differently. Game-play makes the game and the Nintendo Wii is providing this by the bucket load at an affordable price.
The Nintendo Wii is predicted to retail somewhere between $200 and $300 (although nothing is official yet) which is a kick in the teeth too Sony and its playstation 3 which is planning to retail at $500 and $600. This is one console that I will NOT miss out on and neither should you!!.
Nintendo Wii cost finalised:
The Nintendo Wii is to retail at no more that $250 (£133). Major blow to Sony as the Wii is soo cheap that you may as well get one even if you have already bought one of the next generation consoles already.
Nintendo Wii launch dates:
US launch: 19 November.
Price: $250.
Japanese launch: 2 December.
Price: 25,000 yen
European launch: 8 December.
Price: £132 (249 euros).
The Nintendo Wii is to be released with about 20 games costing between £34-£39 in the Uk, these launch titles include:
Wii Sports
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
WarioWare: Smooth Moves
Excite Truck
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Mario Strikers Charged
Big Brain Academy
Battalion Wars II
All of these games look relatively sweet (some more than others) so I think the launch should be a successful one.
